An unprecedented style of white tea, produced solely by the Satemwa Estate of Malawi. While most pearls boast the first two leaves and the bud, this hand-rolled tea contains the first three leaves and the bud, bringing out a more vegetal note than you might find in most white teas. These pearls are sun-dried (as opposed to steamed or baked), which lends a gentle sweetness to the final brew.

Ingredients: White tea

Approximately 45mg of caffeine per cup

Steeping recommendation: Brew at 175°F or 79.4°C for 2-4 minutes. Use one pearl per 8 oz. of water (two if you like your tea strong) and re-infuse several times.

Converted A Family Member!!!

I got Zomba Pearls as a tea sample in one of my orders. I loved it so much that I ordered a regular size. The flavor is light and can withstand multiple steepings.

I had a family member visit me for the Christmas holiday and I offered him this while he was here. He was so impressed by the flavor that he asked where it came from. It's always exciting to convert people to Friday Tea.

Delicate and aromatic

Another Advent Calendar sample. There's definitely more going on with this than I often find with white teas. No need for extra flavors to keep it interesting. Sweet and a bit floral, I love the aroma as I'm sipping.
