There's no wrong tea for curling up on a wretched-cold drizzily afternoon with a book. That said, if you have the opportunity, this is an excellent choice.
The flavor is lovely, and while I rarely take black tea by itself, I suspect it would be just as good that way.
Second Breakfast is a nice warm hug on an autumn day! Crucial to a cozy hobbit life
I keep coming back to this tea. It's perfect for fall or winter afternoons, comforting and satisfying, with a flavor that reminds me of a warm bowl of oatmeal. Easily one of my favorites that I recommend to all my friends who like a tea that feels like a warm hug.
tasty, hearty, and cozy
It's a nice tea, and I love the warm notes of barley and apple. But I think it must be the ginger that gives it just a little too much kick. I think a lot about hobbits, and to me this feels just barely too spicy to match the personality profile.
Though of course, if you ask anyone in Hobbiton they'd tell you there's plenty of spice in their conversations and relations.
I can see from the other reviews that I'm the only person who seems to think this, so maybe it's just me. I'm not a big fan of ginger.
Overall, still a pleasant tea and I will keep buying from Friday Afternoon because so many other blends have been spot on.
