You Can Handle This Smoke

I bought this because it was on clearance and I wanted to try a new caffeinated tea with low commitment. I am not generally a fan of smoky teas, sauces, candles...anything that's marketed as reminding you of a campfire.

When you first open the bag, the smoke really hits you. I was starting to regret my choice. But the flavor on drinking is incredibly smooth and complex, the caffeine will keep you going all day, and best of all, it stands up to 5 or 6 re-steeps without losing any of the flavor. Giving this 5 stars because I loved it in spite of myself.

If you're another smoke-skeptic, I highly recommend trying this one.

It is, it is a glorious thing!

I love this tea so much! It smells like the sun on a wooden deck, like rum and gunsmoke, like a tea I've been so anxiously waiting to come back into circulation that I ordered it the moment the clock struck midnight and the Autumn blends dropped! Warm, smokey, and a bit dry in the most satisfying way.

Turning Me Into a Tea Person

I don’t often drink tea. I’ll have it in my boba, sure, but that’s about as far as my tea-escapade goes. On the other hand, I absolutely love Peter Pan, and I couldn’t resist learning what my favorite book tastes like.

Spoiler alert, it’s DELICIOUS.

I followed the temp/steep instructions, added a bit of oat milk and a spoon of honey, and it went down smooth. The taste reminded me of when you’re camping and sitting by a waning fire. The smell of smoke and nature good company.

I also tried it as-is (no milk, no honey, just the tea and me and the Tinker Bell printed on the side of my mug), and even then it was yummy (Drying? Yes. But the flavor coated the inside of my mouth and I liked the sensation, so I drank a whole 2nd cup just like that).

I think I’ll make this my go-to for when the family sits down and has their late night coffee. Definitely checking out the other fandoms, too! 5/5 experience

Pirate's Life for Tea

This was one of the first teas I bought from Friday Afternoon, and it was my favorite of the bunch. I don't drink much in the way of rum or whisky, but I love this one with sugar and a bit of cream. I would have felt strange saying a tea can make me so happy before I tried this one, but here we are, and here I'll be, ordering this one to keep in my cupboard as frequently as possible.
